Speaking at the project's inauguration on Friday, Marcos highlighted the potential for the dam area to become a tourist destination. He mentioned that the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) plans to develop the site to include a hydropower plant and recreational facilities. Marcos pointed out that the presence of a dam and lake often attracts tourists, making the location ideal for tourism development. He also suggested incorporating solar power to enhance the area's electricity supply, supporting both tourism and local needs. The Sulvec SRIP aims to provide sustainable irrigation to 705 hectares of farmland across 10 barangays, benefiting 1,045 farmers and their families. Marcos praised the NIA's efforts, noting the project's significance in improving the local environment and supporting future generations. | | | |
