Angela Muhlach, the younger sister of former child star Niño Muhlach, has vowed that their family will address the injustices faced by other artists. This declaration comes amid rumors involving two TV consultants accused of sexually abusing a young actor.
Angela took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, July 31, expressing her family's commitment to ending these injustices. "Our family will be the one to break the injustices all the other artists are facing. This has to stop. We will fight for justice," she wrote, adding the hashtag #MenToo.
Earlier this week, a blind item alleging that two TV consultants sexually abused a young actor at a recent major network event surfaced on social media. Entertainment insider Ogie Diaz confirmed the incident on his showbiz vlog.
In response, GMA Network announced on Tuesday, July 30, that it would conduct a "thorough and impartial investigation" involving the artist and independent contractors. GMA's Arnold Clavio encouraged victims to speak up, emphasizing the industry's collective effort to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Angela is the latest Muhlach family member to make a public statement. Niño Muhlach posted cryptically on Facebook about ending a certain battle, receiving widespread support from netizens. His son, Sandro Muhlach, shared a quote about God "seeing the cries of the helpless," while Niño's second wife, Diane Abby Tupaz, vowed on Facebook that their family "would not rest" until justice is served.
