Catriona Gray, the former Miss Universe, experienced a traumatic incident in London after robbers broke into her car and stole her passport and other belongings. The robbery occurred while Gray and her family were having lunch on their way to the airport.
Gray shared the distressing experience on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, August 31, showing the broken rear window of their vehicle. "Robbed in the middle of London whilst stopping for lunch on the way to the airport. Our passports and belongings are gone," she wrote, expressing her trauma over the incident.
A Special Family Trip
Prior to the robbery, Gray had been documenting her special family trip to the United Kingdom. She mentioned that the trip was particularly significant as it was in honor of her father. The family had been on a road trip from London to Scotland and back.
"It's my first time in Scotland and my dad's first time back to his homeland since he immigrated to Australia at the age of seven back in 1952," Gray shared in an earlier post. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to explore her heritage and family history alongside her father.
The robbery has cast a shadow over what was meant to be a meaningful journey, but Gray has not provided further details about the incident or the subsequent steps they are taking following the theft.
