Jin of BTS has been named the latest global brand ambassador for Gucci, as announced by Women's Wear Daily in an exclusive report.
In a statement, Gucci's Creative Director Sabato De Sarno praised Jin's distinctive style and magnetic personality. "He is a generous and extraordinary artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him."
Jin expressed his admiration for the luxury brand, calling it "iconic" with "a long-standing heritage and modernity." He added, "It is meaningful and thrilling to be a part of such a house."
Since completing his 18-month military service in June, Jin has frequently showcased Gucci fashion. He continues to engage with fans, recently hosting an event for BTS's 11th anniversary where he performed and gave out hugs to the BTS ARMY.
In addition to his ambassadorship, Jin is focused on his solo career. He released his first solo single, "The Astronaut," in 2022 and is currently working on a solo album. Jin will also debut his variety show, "Run Jin," this August.
Jin played a significant role at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics as South Korea's torchbearer. BTS is scheduled to reunite as a group in 2025.
