The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) stated on Saturday that their officers would not leave the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound until Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is found and arrested.
"We know they're there, just hiding. We will not leave until we apprehend him or his companions," PRO 11 Director Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III told the media.
General Torre emphasized that they are executing a no-bail arrest warrant for Quiboloy and his four associates, who face serious charges, including human trafficking and child abuse.
"This is an arrest warrant that we are implementing against a person charged with heinous crimes—human trafficking, child abuse," he stressed.
As of 1 p.m., reports indicated that authorities had only searched about 30% of the KOJC compound. Torre noted the difficulty of apprehending Quiboloy, stating he seemed to be playing games with them.
Police have observed children's rooms in the compound and names of young girls, which adds complexity to the situation.
"We could hardly move inside the compound because so many people wanted to argue with us," Torre said. "This is not the place for us to debate whether the warrant is right or wrong, and we are not the ones to debate Quiboloy's guilt or innocence. Our job is to enforce this warrant."
A report from Super Radyo dzBB confirmed that a member of the KOJC died from a heart attack while the police were conducting their search.
Police units from PRO 11, supported by members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Civil Disturbance Management unit, have been at the compound since early morning to serve the arrest warrant. They entered the compound around 5:27 a.m.
Torre mentioned that the KOJC compound includes 42 buildings, with one building covering five hectares.
