Vice President Sara Duterte emphasized the ongoing threat of terrorism in the country, urging the nation to take collective responsibility in combating it. Her statement was made in observance of the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism.
Duterte called on the public to honor the victims of terrorism, stressing that the threat persists despite ongoing efforts to eradicate it, particularly for the sake of future generations.
Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang isang matatag, mapayapa, at isang komunidad na malaya mula sa banta ng terorismo," reinforcing the need for national unity to build a strong, peaceful, and terrorism-free society.
Duterte previously served as co-vice chairperson of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) until her resignation in July 2024.
