SB19's Stell has shared some encouraging words for aspiring young singers, urging them to embrace their unique talents and not shy away from expressing their true selves as artists.
In an interview with GMA News Online on Wednesday, Stell emphasized the importance of embracing one's distinct musical style, even if it differs from popular trends. "I know dito sa Pilipinas talagang sobrang patok 'yung laging bumibirit, 'yung kumakanta ng matataas, but huwag niyong i-disregard 'yung skill niyo na parang ibang genre 'yung gusto niyo," Stell said.
He further noted that the Philippines is becoming more open to various sounds, genres, and unique voices, making it a perfect time for young artists to showcase their talents. "So don't be afraid to show kung ano talagang gusto ng puso mo, kung ano ang boses mo," he added, encouraging artists to follow their hearts and stay true to their unique vocal style.
Stell also highlighted that there are many undiscovered sounds and talents in the Philippines that deserve to be heard, not just locally but globally. "Ang Pilipinas ay napakadami pang hindi nadidiscover na tunog at talento na dapat lumabas ngayon dahil time ito ng Pilipino na mas makilala hindi lang dito sa bansa natin, kundi pati na rin sa ibang bansa," he shared.
Apart from his role in SB19, Stell is set to be one of the four coaches on "The Voice Kids Philippines," which will air starting September 15. He will be joined by Billy Crawford, Julie Anne San Jose, and fellow SB19 member Pablo.
