Lara expressed frustration on Facebook after being denied entry to the restaurant due to the size and breed of her dog, Yoda, an 18-kilogram Aspin (a Filipino mixed breed dog). Balay Dako stated that while they appreciate animals, they need to consider space and the safety of all guests. The restaurant is now reviewing its pet policy to ensure it is clear and fair for both pet owners and non-pet owners. Additionally, they promised to train staff to better implement their policies. Lara's viral post detailed how the restaurant staff cited a rule limiting dogs to a maximum of 15 kilograms, which she said was not stated on their website or social media. She also pointed out inconsistencies, noting that larger breeds like Labradors and Golden Retrievers were previously allowed. Lara concluded her post by calling for clearer pet guidelines from the restaurant. | | | |
