Despite the negative result, Police Major Bob Ordiz of the Lumban Police clarified that the absence of gunpowder nitrates does not conclusively prove that Amores did not fire a gun, as several factors could influence the test outcome. Amores and his brother, John Red, were charged with attempted homicide after the case was downgraded from attempted murder. They were released on bail, with Amores posting ₱24,000 and his brother ₱10,000. Their arraignment and pre-trial are set for December 4. The incident reportedly involved the shooting of another basketball player, although no injuries were sustained. CCTV footage and witness testimonies are expected to play a key role in the case against the two brothers. | | | |
