De La Salle University's Kevin Quiambao, the reigning UAAP Most Valuable Player, recently entered a new chapter in his life with the birth of his son. The Green Archers standout shared his pride and gratitude for both his basketball career and his new role as a father.
"It's a blessing. I'm very blessed to be playing at the highest level while starting this new journey," Quiambao said on Wednesday.
While he acknowledges the challenges of balancing his time between his basketball commitments for La Salle, the national team, and fatherhood, he is grateful for the support of his coaches. They give him the freedom to manage his responsibilities both on and off the court.
"It's tough to balance everything, but I'll do my best to focus on both basketball and life. My coaches are supportive, and that gives me motivation," he said, adding that his newborn son brings him extra inspiration heading into the season.
Quiambao hopes to channel this newfound motivation as La Salle, currently at 4-1, faces the University of Santo Tomas on Sunday.
