RM of BTS is set to release his own solo documentary film titled "RM: Right People, Wrong Place," which will premiere at the 29th Busan International Film Festival. The announcement was made on the BTS Weverse page, revealing that the film will explore the making of RM's second solo album, "Right Place, Wrong Person," and his personal journey in discovering his true self.
The documentary delves into the duality of RM's life as both an artist and a person. The announcement describes the film's themes: "Artist RM, and human Kim Namjoon. 'Right' and 'Wrong.' An uninvited guest amid the norm (Right Place, Wrong Person), and the normal amid the abnormal (Right Person, Wrong Place). RM's true self emerges only when such boundaries begin to dissolve, a journey authentically captured in this film."
The film has been officially selected for the Open Cinema session at the festival and will have its world premiere at the Busan Cinema Center's outdoor BIFF Theater. The Busan International Film Festival is scheduled to run from October 2 to 11, with screenings across various venues in Busan.
While the official release date for "RM: Right People, Wrong Place" has yet to be announced, updates will be shared on BTS and CJ 4DPLEX Originals channels. Tickets for the Open Cinema session can be purchased through the Busan International Film Festival's official website or app, with further details on ticket reservations to be provided soon.
RM's second solo album, "Right Place, Wrong Person," released last May, includes tracks such as "Come back to me," "LOST!," and "Groin." In addition to his solo projects, RM is featured in Megan Thee Stallion's upcoming single, "Neva Play."
Currently, BTS is on hiatus as the members fulfill their mandatory military service, with plans to reunite as a group in 2025. Jin is the first member to have been discharged from the military.
