The Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) has raised concerns over an alleged excavation by authorities at the basement of the Jose Maria College (JMC) Building inside their compound in Davao City. The KOJC's legal counsel, Atty. Israelito Torreon, claims that a photo he received shows police digging a tunnel at the JMC Building's basement, which has reportedly reached a depth of eight meters and could potentially compromise the building's stability.
However, the Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) has denied these allegations. "The digging claim is just an allegation from Atty. Torreon. Let him prove it," stated PRO-11 Director, Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III.
Atty. Torreon has called on Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Rommel Marbil to permit them to inspect the basement and verify the alleged excavation. He also questioned whether such an excavation is justified under the service of an arrest warrant for KOJC leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and whether the police have "reasonable belief" that Quiboloy is hiding in the compound.
Despite being 11 days into their operation, police have yet to locate Quiboloy or others implicated in an alleged trafficking case. Law enforcement officials continue to believe that Quiboloy is inside the compound. "We still believe he is there… They are mocking us… but there is always a time for everything, and we will eventually catch him," added Brigadier General Torre.
