It will be the 25th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Croatia's Miss Universe candidate. Currently, Croatia has four Miss Universe placements. Representing the European county, Sarah Ćosić finished in the Top 15 in 2009, Elizabeta Burg and Shanaelle Petty finished in the Top 16 in 2012 and 2017, respectively, and Mia Rkman finished in the Top 20 in 2019.
