The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) -Palawan continues to assist small workers or businesses through various trainings, for them to earn a living despite the pandemic.
This training is under the Livelihood Seeding Program-Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) program, after the training, DTI-Palawan provides the participants with equipment.
This month, the trainings implemented by DTI-Palawan are the Skills Training on Eco Box Packaging Making, where 10 local basket weavers from Bgy. Malihud and Bono-bono in the Town of Bataraza were blessed with it. It is administered by the Bataraza Business Center, in collaboration with the Local Municipal Government.
Ten banana farmers and processors in Bgy. Iraray, Sofronio Española were given training in Banana Chips Processing. It is also under the administration of the Sofronio Española Business Center in collaboration with the Local Government and the Palawan State University in the said town.
Meanwhile, 10 women in Bgy. Bahile in Puerto Princesa City trained in Kakanin Making.
According to DTI-Palawan's Facebook page, the beneficiaries of the training were given starter kits or equipment in accordance with their education, so that they can start their business immediately, generate income and reduce the impact of the pandemic.
