DPWH Upgrades San Miguel District Hospital in Bulacan

The ongoing upgrading of San Miguel District Hospital in San Miguel, Bulacan is expected to improve delivery of quality medical and healthcare services for Bulakeños.
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan said redevelopment project under two (2) phases will enable San Miguel District Hospital to be more responsive to growing healthcare needs of people from eastern part of Bulacan.
Based on report submitted by DPWH Region 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, the DPWH Bulacan Second District Engineering Office (DEO) is currently in its second phase of implementing expansion and improvement of district hospital that sits on an 11,867-square meter property located along Daang Maharlika in Barangay Old Sta. Rita, San Miguel.
A total of P92.5 million sourced from 2020 and 2022 national budgets has been allocated for continuous enhancement of San Miguel District Hospital.
The hospital is one of the eight (8) district hospitals managed by Provincial Government of Bulacan. Aside from providing basic medical services, it also acts as dialysis center for entire third district of the province composed of municipalities of Doña Remedios Trinidad, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, and San Rafael.
When completed, San Miguel and nearby towns will have hospital equipped with contemporary facility that benefits patients and locals through efficient delivery of improved health services.
