If you, or family members and friends, are located in any of the typhoon-affected areas such as: Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), SOCCSKSARGEN (Cotabato, Sarangani, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat), Zamboanga, Western Visayas (Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo and Negros Occidental), Bicol Region, and CALABARZON (especially Cavite, Laguna and Batangas), or if you were/ are involved in any rescue and relief operation, fund-raising drive, campaign and communication work in connection with the floods and typhoon: Please take note that you are exempted from this week's reading assignment and asynchronous class, no cost.
If you are not located in any typhoon-affected area but are experiencing mental anguish or mental anxiety due to family members or friends who were affected by the following unfortunate events this week or a few days ago (Typhoon Paeng 101 deaths, Itaewon crowd crush 154 deaths, Gujarat India Morbi bridge collapse 140+deaths) or from reading reports of deaths and destruction: You are advised to consult with your medical professional if any, or to consult with PsychServes (c/o OVCSA, phone numbers in the UPD website), and to decompress by talking to family members or trusted friends about what you are experiencing (with the usual health and safety protocols). You are also exempted from this week's reading assignment and asynchronous class, no cost.
All deadlines falling this week are moved or deferred to seven days from the deadline.
