The PBA held a moment of silence on Sunday in memory of Trinidad, a former broadcast talent and producer for the league. Before the Rookie Draft, a voiceover commemorated his impact:
"Sa kasaysayan ng PBA, hindi mawawala ang pangalan ni Chino gawa ng kaniyang malaking kontribusyon sa pag-unlad ng ating liga," the announcement said, acknowledging his substantial role in the league's development.
MPBL Tribute
The MPBL also paid tribute to Trinidad, highlighting his dedication to promoting the league. In a heartfelt post, the MPBL stated:
"Farewell to a treasured friend of the MPBL, sportscaster and former PBL commissioner Manolo 'Chino' Trinidad."
Remembering Chino Trinidad
Chino Trinidad passed away on Saturday at the age of 56 due to a heart attack. He was remembered fondly by fellow sports personalities and colleagues for his passion and contributions to Philippine sports.
